Graphic simulation

Help graphics

During cycle programming in the plain-language dialog, the TNC shows a separate illustration for each parameter.

This makes it easier to understand the function and accelerates programming. This type of programming support is particularly helpful for functions that you do not use daily.

Programming graphics

The TNC draws each contour element step by step as soon as you enter it in the program. This shows you immediately whether the part program follows the workpiece drawing.

3-D line graphics

The 3-D line graphics display the programmed contour as a “wire model” in three dimensions. You use it especially to inspect programs created externally for irregularities before machining, in order to avoid undesirable traces of the machining process on the workpiece. A powerful zoom function enables you to precisely analyze even the smallest detail. Using soft keys—or even more conveniently, the mouse—you can clearly see the tool paths in the selected area.

Program-run graphics

The programming graphics or verification graphics are available even while the workpiece is being machined. Also, the TNC shows a real-time graphic of the machining progress during program run.

With a single keystroke you can take a glance at the progress of workpiece machining. This is especially helpful when a direct view is hampered by coolant or the safety enclosure.

Program verification graphics

It doesn't matter whether you would like to verify a simple or complex program. In the Test Run operating mode, the TNC graphically simulates machining—and that in a very short time. The graphic simulation assumes that the tool is cylindrical in form. It is also possible to show the result of machining with a ball-nose cutter, provided that the tool table is active.
