Working with Pallets on the TNC 640

For any sequence of various workpieces loaded via pallets, the TNC 640 is able to match up the appropriate part program and corresponding datum shift. When a pallet is loaded for machining, the TNC 640 automatically calls the correct part program.
This enables the automatic machining of different parts in any given sequence. A further advantage comes from tool-oriented machining, which makes it possible to eliminate tool changes for workpieces requiring the same tool. Machining time is thereby reduced.
For the planning of successive jobs in advance, the TNC 640 provides the batch process manager option, which makes it easy to plan unattended shifts and to respond preemptively to manual interventions. In this webinar, trainer Michael Wiendl will explain how to create pallet files and what to consider during the programming process.
