Switching the HSC MODE from finishing to roughing in fact does not work on all machines. This basically depends on how the machine tool builder has configured the nominal position value filtering. To put it briefly, HSC MODE roughing only works if the basic design of the machine is set up for rapid and highly accurate machining. However, you should then combine HSC MODE roughing with an appropriately generous tolerance.
