Why is the control off-target with the stylus when calibrating the tool touch probe?
Answer:
Before calibrating the TT, the coordinates of the stylus center point relative to the machine datum (REF coordinates) must be entered in MP6580. However, the REF coordinates are always output without the tool length.
Solution:
Offset the tool length, or determine the Z coordinate without a tool.
