Can I update my programming station to a newer version without any problems?

Answer:

Yes. In an update only the new NC software is installed; everything else (NC programs, machine parameters, PLC...) remains the same.

If you want to update the PLC as well, which is necessary in order to update those new functions, then you must begin the installation a second time and select the Repair mode. This will also update changes affecting the PLC and the program examples.
