Please bring your own computer or notebook which must meet the following requirements:

  • Windows (7, 8, 8.1, 10) operating system
  • Authorization to install software
  • DVD drive
  • USB port
  • Ethernet port (RJ45)
  • Ethernet cable
  • At least 8 GB RAM
  • At least 1280 x 1024 resolution (recommended)
  • Download: www.heidenhain.de -> PC Software -> Programming Station VirtualBox -> TNC 640 Programming Station 340595 <most recent version>

HEIDENHAIN cannot provide any computers or notebooks for the training course.

Objectives of the course

  • Enhancing knowledge of using the HEIDENHAIN PC tools
  • Working with the PLC programming environment PLCdesign
  • Becoming familiar with the performance range of the PLC basic program
  • Efficiently adaptating the PLC basic program to the machine
  • Becoming familiar with the functions of NCK-based controls

Target group

Only for electrical design engineers and PLC programmers of machine tool builders and retrofitters.

Requirements

  • Participation in the PLC programming basic course (PLC-1) or
  • Knowledge of HEIDENHEIN PC tools
  • Knowledge of machine configuration
  • Operation and handling of the TNC 320/TNC 620/TNC 640
  • Computer skills
