Course contents

  • Clarification of the focus of the course
  • Repetition: Operating the TNCopt computer software 
  • Post-optimization of the control loops
  • Working with the bode diagram
  • Working with the waterfall diagram
  • Optimizing the nominal position value filters and jerk parameters according to the following criteria of machine dynamics "Fast, Accurate, Surface"
  • Determination of MP subfiles and possible solution at the TNC

Please bring your own computer or notebook, which must meet the following requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Zip-compatible extraction software
  • Authorization to install software
  • CD drive
  • Configured network environment (Ethernet TCP/IP)
  • Crossover Ethernet cable (twisted-pair) 

HEIDENHAIN cannot provide any computers or notebooks for the course.

Objectives of the course

  • The participants are in a position to post-optimize control loops of axes or spindle such that special machine requirements are fulfilled 
  • The participants' special problems will be treated, if possible

Target group

  • Specialists in machine adaptation, commissioning and service from machine tool builders and retrofitters

Requirements

  • Knowledge of operating HEIDENHAIN controls
  • Participation in the training "Commissioning and optimization"
    training or profound knowledge of optimizing a digital control loop
  • Basic knowledge of operating the TNCopt computer software
