Programming station cannot be started

Question:

What can I do if the programming station doesn’t start, even though installation was just fine. Message: “giving up...”

Answer:

This is because the user logged on to use the programming station does not have write-access to the installation path.

Solution: Change the security settings so that the intended user has all rights to the installation path. (Quick fix: have the person who installed it log on)
